What are your hours?
We are open Monday to Friday 8:00-5:00 and Saturday 8:00-4:00!
Where are you located?
We are located at 408 HWY 6 W in Oxford, MS, next to Cannon Motors. Our building says Discount on the outside.
How do I place an order? Why can't I process my order online?
To place an order, you can message us on Facebook (Discount Building Materials and Home Center, Oxford, MS) or Instagram (inside_discount) or give the store a call (662-236-5615).
Because our system interface does not connect to our online inventory, we want to make sure items our customers are wanting to order are in stock and available to ship. Some items, like furniture, artwork and some home décor accessories, are either too large or too likely to be damaged to ship.
What is your return policy?
Items can be returned with a receipt for a full refund within 30 days. Returns after 30 days and/or without a receipt, can be returned with approval for store credit within 60 days of purchase. Items must be in the same condition as they were purchased. Light fixtures must be returned in their original box with ALL parts within the box. Curtain drape panels must be returned in the orginal packaging unopened. Final sale items are non-returnable. Custom door décor, bows, or florals are non-returnable and non-refundable once they leave the store.
Can I take items out on approval?
We do not do approvals, but we do have a 30-day return policy with receipt. You are welcome to purchase any item and receive a full refund if you do not like it for your home. Please see our return policy for more details.
What does your store sell?
Our store has two departments. The hardware and building materials department has all your building supply needs including flooring, cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, rocks, wooden outdoor furniture and so much more. The interiors' department has everything you need to decorate the inside of your home: artwork, accent furniture, accessories, lamps, light fixtures, pillows, rugs, and more.

Do you deliver?
Yes, we can delivery items for an additional fee. The delivery fee for Oxford, MS delivery starts at $60 (fee could increase depending on your location and how many delivery persons will be needed). I live out of state. Do you ship items?
Yes, we have begun shipping some items from our store. Message us on Facebook or Instagram to place an order!
We cannot ship furniture pieces, large artwork, pottery or highly breakable items.
Are you a consignment store?
No, we are a family-owned business. Our in-house team purchases inventory, manages and decorates the entire store.
Are you a bargain or second-hand store?
No. Our merchandise is the same great quality at discounted prices! We do our best to mark our prices as low as possible for our customers from the very beginning. No waiting for big sales, seasonal markdowns or coupons. Our prices are below suggested retail as soon as it is on our floor.
I've seen other Discount Building Material stores. Is your store a chain? Can I shop for the same things there?
While there are other Discount Building Material stores in Clarksdale, MS, Starkville, MS, and Guin, AL, they are all run and operated by different owners. Our store located in Oxford, MS has a very unique shopping experience with Inside Discount, an interiors department like no other.
Do you carry mattresses, beds, couches, or appliances?
We do not at this time. We are limited by available space in our building carrying these items. For appliances, visit the Discount Building Materials store in Clarksdale, MS.
Someone told me that you can make bows and wreaths. How can I order?
Inside Discount does have crafters that can make bows and custom door hangers. To order, it is best to come to the store and see all the amazing options we have. A crafter can help take the items you like and make them into something beautiful.
Since there are so many different options and styles possible for your order, we are unable to take orders over the phone. Please allow several days for our crafters to make your beautiful order.
Please note, custom order during our busy season (such as Christmas) can take two weeks to complete. During these seasons, only a limited number of bows can be made per customer while they wait in store.
Do you wrap gifts?
We can wrap gifts purchased at the store. For items under $10, there will be a $2 charge for wrapping. For items over, gift wrapping is included.
During our busy days or season, a limited number of wrapping can be done per customer. An order will need to be placed for wrapping orders more than 6 and please allow several days for your wrapping order to be complete.
Are you a Christmas store?
While we do love Christmas and have an amazing season with it, we are not a year-round Christmas store. Most of the year our store is filled with seasonal, home décor furniture and accessories and so much more. Then we create a Christmas Wonderland during the season! We start getting Christmas ready around September. By the 1st of November, our store is a Christmas Wonderland with over 20 themes, decorated trees, spectacular displays, and amazing Christmas merchandise. We can also create Christmas garlands, wreaths, bows and so much more for you during this time. It's our favorite time of the year and makes sure to mark your calendar for our Annual Christmas Open House.
